Cat DPPOA Dolphin Point Property Owners Association

Our annual DPPOA meeting was held  6:00 PM on Monday, March 26 at the Cat Island Pub. The minutes are posted at this link.

Expect the combination for the boat ramp to be provided to all active members.

Where did the money go?

In addition to paying for taxes and insurance, your DPPOA spent $1658 this past year while accomplishing the following:

A spring cleanup and a winter cleanup.

A holiday party at the club.

   An oyster roast.

Memorial plantings for two deceased members plus a re-planting.

Hosting a web site for increased visibility of Board actions.

Other News

As noted in the minutes of the annual meeting, the Fire Department is soliciting bids for the design of a new fire house opposite Palmetto State Bank. This would help lower homeowner insurance rates. Consider asking your County Council Member to support this.

If you have a news item you want to have posted, please contact Mr. Jim Tucker or Mrs. Beverly Whitaker.

Where have all the people gone?

In 2011, 73% of the property owners were DPPOA members. Of this number, 86% were active members. Invoices for 2012 membership have been mailed and responses are encouraging. The Board will, no doubt, look for ways to achieve even greater participation.
